mental coaching

One of the most critical qualities of the fiercest competitors is their ability to maintain CONSISTENCY OF PERFORMANCE despite the challenge. In our work with you THAT IS ALWAYS THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE.

More than anything, this depends on how robust your mental skills are. Legendary college and Olympic coach Bobby Knight used to say the mental part of the game is four times as important as the physical. Here is what former Spurs player and current Nets assistant coach Tiago Splitter has to say:

By working with you to identify how your mindset impacts either positively or negatively on your performance, we can provide you with the best combination of short- and long-term goals and strategies to reach this objective.

Our mental coaching includes such areas as concentration, mental rehearsal, self-confidence, and stress management.

TYPICAL OUTCOMES FROM MENTAL COACHING INCLUDE:

  • Better production (stats)
  • The likelihood of more playing time as your game improves
  • Greater personal satisfaction in practice and games
  • Greater sense of control in reaching personal goals  Increased professional opportunities (team offers, salary)
  • Acquisition of skills which are applicable to other areas of life (persistence in the face of obstacles, self-confidence in confronting challenges, effective communication with coaches and teammates)

One of the values of mental coaching is having someone whose only agenda is to be there to help you. All mental coaching sessions are 100% confidential, and may be conducted via phone, Zoom, Facebook chat, WhatsApp or email.
